A Tribute to Salty Peanut Cafe

In this post, MunJufCafeHopping will bring all of you to the East Village in Simpang Bedok. East Village's concept is something that I always called the SOHO (Small Office Home Office) where residential area are located above offices or shops. It's a good environment where your customers are not only from the residential itself, but also residents staying around that area too.

I would like to make a tribute to one of my favourite cafes in the East Village, Salty Peanut. I always have good reviews on Salty Peanut's gelato as the owner will always venture out with new and exotic flavours of gelato. It's one of the Halal Gelato in the East of Singapore, where the shops offer both gelato and fruit sorbet. I've always loved their Miss Hazel Brown gelato flavour as it always reminds me of Ferrero Rocher.

Johor Bahru Day Trip

Apologies to all my beloved readers... Lately, our blog was inactive due to other commitments. Today, I shall blog about our trip to Johor Bahru. We went to venture cafe food that was recommended by one of my colleagues stays in JB.

One of the cafes that we went was Big Food. The food that they served was SUPERB and CHEAP. As both of us were super hungry on that day, we ordered Meat Platter and both of us were having Avocado Juice. The total cost for the whole meal which only cost us for like RM80(SGD27).

Location

Another cafe that we went is BurgerByte. It was originated from KL and it was the same shop that was open by Malaysia's Famous Comedian, Zizan Maharaja Lawak. We were so full from eating at BigFood and we decided to only order just one meal. We ordered Naked Burger (Lamb and Chicken).
And the total cost with our drink was just RM29.50(SGD10).

Apologise to all OUR READERS!!!!

We have been busy studying for our upcoming exams... and I (Munir) have another paper this coming Saturday... I know right... It's a Saturday..what can I do...

Ok.. We shall update another cafe in the East of Singapore *Apologise again to all our readers who stays in the North, West or Central of Singapore*. We will try our best to update the cafe or restaurants from all parts of Singapore.

Our next cafe is ZF Cafe. The food they serve is mainly Italian-fusion style theme. Basically, they have Pasta, Burgers, Pizza and other Italian sides. The food portion is kind of small BUT when you start eating it, you will feel REALLY full especially the pasta. The whole environment of the place is small BUT if you want to make a family gathering of more than 6pax, I think you need to make reservation first before going to the cafe. The eating area is an outdoor concept with all the tentage setup in case if it's raining.

Butter Studio

As usual, both of us love dessert so much, it's a must have after our meal. We would like to bring all of you to one of our favourite cafe in Jalan Besar, BUTTER STUDIO. We love the ambience of the cafe, really relaxing after a tiring day at work. Basically, the cafe serves both main course and desserts. BUT the most popular ones are their desserts.

Since we already had our main course at a different location, we decided to go for dessert only. We had their Sea Salt Caramel Red Velvet Cake and Lychee Rose Cake. In addition to cakes, we ordered Chocolate Ice Blended and Lychee Mint drinks.

Tribute to FleeAwayCafe @ Dunlop Street Part 2

A Part 2 tribute of Flee Away Cafe, Below is a picture of my order during my visit there.  Beside selling pasta, Flee Away Cafe did sell dessert such as cupcakes etc. The cupcakes is outsourced from a third-party distributor. The cupcake shown below is called; Gula Melaka (Palm Sugar) Cupcake. At first I thought it may look like an ordinary cupcake where the filling is shredded coconut and some Gula Melaka (Palm Sugar) sauce, but to my surprise it is not. They filled it fully with Gula Melaka (Palm Sugar) and the taste is just pure delicious.

Tribute to FleeAwayCafe @ Dunlop Street

A BIG THANK YOU to Flee Away Cafe for providing variety of scrumptious, delicious food.  Many people didn't know that they provide HALAL food + OLD SKOOL environment which can bring back all the old memories. I had a great time spending my non-working days there enjoying the food that they serve. The most important, they provide us with OLD SKOOL games for us to play while waiting for our food OR after we had our SUPERB food.

We would gladly to have them back as a cafe cos we do really miss their food... Now they have their items selling online at (http://www.fleeawaywith.me/) where you can get all the old toys you played during in the 1980s n 1990s.
